Malala Yousufzai gets shot in the head.

Fourteen year old Malala Yousufzai got shot in the head coming home from school on the 10th of October 2012. Her skull was damaged and she was taken to Rawalpindi Military hospital in Pakistan.
She was there for a bit longer than a week then taken to a England hospital, called Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The Taliban say they targeted her because  she was promoting secularism. Meaning that she was anti Islam religious, the Taliban are all about Islam. Islam is a religion is where the males do all the work, go to school and are first grade, where the females are put back, not schooled and are low graded. Malala thought that females should be able to do all the thinks that the males are allowed to do.

    Well done on reading so many sources of information Maddie. This is a very sad story. Humans are hideous sometimes aren't they? We are indeed very lucky in NZ that females are allowed the freedom we have. Do you think that education should be a right for everybody?
